author maurizio galimberti (como, 1956) is a contemporary italian photographer and artist, a leading exponent of the polaroid mosaic technique and founder of the dada polaroid movement. Born in como and mainly active in milan, he made a name for himself in the 1990s with his innovative practice: breaking down and recomposing an image into hundreds of instant polaroids that are cut, rotated, and manually reassembled, creating vibrant portraits, urban landscapes, and pop icons with a language that combines photography, collage, and performance. His visually striking works often depict celebrities, famous faces, and contemporary subjects. He was the official instant artist for fuji instax and has exhibited in galleries and museums in italy and abroad (milan, venice, new york, paris, london), with works in public and private collections. His creations are regularly listed on the international contemporary art market.
