Finished in dark-stained tola veneer, the piece is raised on an ebonised base with brass feet.

The interior is well arranged, with a hanging cupboard to one side and a combination of drawers and cupboard storage to the other. One upper drawer incorporates a pull-out dressing mirror, a practical and useful period detail. The drawers are well constructed with dovetail joints and operate smoothly.
