This particular design draws influence from antique Persian rugs that depict the "Tree of Life”—a celebrated pattern often seen in large-scale, fruit bearing trees like that seen against the navy blue field. The many fruits and floral patterns in field and border alike further enjoy rich autumnal red, gold, rust and beige-brown tones, with a variety of light and playful variations of the color that lend a fabulous sense of movement to an otherwise traditional design.
