Hand-carved from solid ash and stained to a smoked-wood tone, the piece reads as a floating volume: a soft body supported by a single tapered leg, finished with a discreet solid bronze foot. Three drawers are integrated into the front plane, their fronts wrapped in natural goat parchment, a rare, demanding material historically associated with refined French interiors. Beneath the parchment, subtle organic reliefs form a living topography, balancing between nature and imagination. The parchment application is an original technique developed by Palucki Studio, allowing the carved surface to remain present, quietly animated by light and touch. The contrast between the deep grain of smoked ash and the pale, luminous parchment defines the piece: warm darkness against natural brightness, softness against precision. See less
