subject and style: the work is a high relief depicting the overlapping profiles of the four greatest poets of italian literature, all crowned with laurel wreaths as a sign of poetic glory. At the base is a relief inscription identifying them: "tasso - ariosto - petrarca - dante." two decorative garland elements flank the base. The sculpture features well-defined faces and stern, noble expressions.

material and finish: the object is a cast bronze with a natural dark patina. The back, which is hollow (molded/cast), features a small ring for wall mounting.
