Advertisements … Read more Mid-Century pair of Sligh Furniture/Grand Rapids Chair Co. chests from their Cross Country line, designed by Herbert Ten Have. Advertisements for this line date back as far as 1950, but I have been unable to determine how long this line was in production. The original owner's son remembers his father purchasing these in 1965. This line was offered in four finishes--Driftwood, Sand Dune, Ebony and Vintage White. I believe these are in Driftwood. These pieces were well-used, and the top surfaces reflect that -- some scratches and finish loss as shown. I've chosen to offer in original condition to allow the buyer to determine what to do to the finish and benefit from the lower, pre-restored price.

Four drawers per chest--the top drawer is shallow, with dividers, and the bottom three drawers are the height of two of the horizontal "boards" each. Lower drawers also have center dividers each. Dovetailed construction. See less
