The glass has that tell-tale mottled look with a ground-glass sprayed interior and smooth exterior. The canopy, as is routinely the case with Murano products, matches the body of the work.

There's a single socket, standard American base, and a very large round bulb works nicely. The jury is out whether that bulb should be frosted, white, or clear; my preference would run to clear. At any rate, this fixture will tolerate any wattage you care to employ.

The glass appears to be in perfect original condition and is essentially colorless, except that the ground glass on the exterior results in a bit of a white color. There's a slight bump on the edge in one spot, but I don't feel any sharp edges so I'm sure it was made this way. It's close to invisible.

Quite large, it has a diameter of about 22 inches. The overall drop, as you see it in these photos, is 33 inches. Chain can easily be taken out for a shorter drop. See less
