Luxurious Classic Stylish Sofa ‘the St-Laurent’ by famed designers to the rich and famous.
The original was designed by the Ronn & Mars Jaffe in the 1970s for the French Manse of the Countess D'Eschauz. The sofa is masterfully crafted, luxuriously endowed with cushy down and feather filled seat and back cushions covered in the finest Bergamo Swiss cobalt blue heavy silk jacquard. Additional details include gold thread Braided hanging arm tassels and gilt braid trimmed bolsters and three small down back pillows- sculptured ebonized wood legs with brass trim. matching cobalt blue pillows and pair of bolsters included. Ronn & Mars Jaffe's interior design and furnishings have been seen in some of the finest homes and corporate offices for clients such as Aristotle Onassis, The Sultan of Brunei, the White House, the Countess de Quatro, ATT, US WEST, etc. There is a matching pair of Knole Sofas in the same Bergamo fabric-great for a Grand Salon. Provenance: Assembled from the former family Maryland estate home-the Edith Hale Harkness Estate-America's Philanthropic Society Heiress to Standard Oil.
