The vintage ceramic tea set features a backstamp associated with the Moriyama company (also seen as Moryama) and was made in Japan. Pieces marked "Made in Japan" like this generally date from between 1921 and 1941 for export to the US market, or after the end of the US occupation in 1952. Estimated Era: Mid-20th century, likely the 1920s-1930s or the post-1952 period. The set features a white glaze with distinct black horizontal stripes and simple handles. The backstamp includes the company name above a floral or basket motif and "MADE IN JAPAN" at the bottom.
