The hallmarks give the date of the patent application (1901), the letter W in a shield in front of a lion (facing left), and the word sterling, but no date symbol which was used between 1905-1924. The company was sold in 1924 so I would guess the manufacturing date to be between 1901 and 1905. No monogram. This is a multi-purpose spoon whether for preserves, sugar, yogurt, sprinkles, chutney, or whatever else you wish, it will be a pleasure to use. An anti-tarnish bag is included. See less
