This Arts & Crafts Mission style heavy-cast bronze wash brass desk/piano lamp is a great example early electric lamps. The lamp features a distinctive rectangular shade defined by three clerestory glass inset along the top edge a nice design element that allows for a subtle upward diffusion of light along with the down firing light bulb. The lamp features scrolling details and a pen holder.
The piece is rich with architectural detail, from the classic stepped plinth base to the ornate scrolled bracket supporting the adjustable shade. Topped with a refined fluted finial.
