Up for sale is this print of a poster commemorating the 15th anniversary of the attack on the Moncada barracks … Read more Up for sale is this print of a poster commemorating the 15th anniversary of the attack on the Moncada barracks on July 26th, 1953 in Santiago de Cuba. The attack was carried out by a small group of revolutionaries led by Fidel Castro. Subsequently, the 26th of July movement was created in the summer of 1955 by Fidel Castro to regroup the survivors after the bloody failure of this attack. This arresting image is from a 1970 compilation of Cuban protest posters by Dugald Stermer. Rendered in vivid tones of yellow, blue, purple, and red, it is in excellent condition, as pictured, and matted in a 16" x 20" pH neutral mat for ease of framing. See less
