Just purchased by us and proudly displayed here, this large (39.5" x 48.5" overall), Old Master offers an Arcadian view where the romance of the Italian countryside includes ruins of ancient civilization. This extensive view move your eyes through multiple scenes as the road leads one to the distant city.
Attributed to a follower of Claude Lorrain, (French, 17th century) and probably executed in the 18th or early 19th century.
