R.B. Kitaj SIGNED print LA FABBRICA "A Life" 1975
I got to meet Kitaj as he pulled this print for me, while my friend was on his staff. I acquired this around 2002 and had it professionally framed. It's been in and out of storage while I was in NYC, so the frame edges may show mild signs of wear. On the acrylic, there are 2 scratches or rubs shown at the bottom, easy to replace, if preferred This measures around 27 x 40.
This is a work of figurative Expressionism with strong ties to Pop Art. The print served as an exhibition poster for Petersburg Press at La Fabbrica, in Milan, 1975.
Kitaj was a major figure in the post-war, Hockney era School of London and leaned into Pulp
