Dimensions: height 187.5 cm, width 109 cm, depth 4.5 cm.

The upper section is composed of fine vertical slats, secured with a rhythmic row of wooden pegs, giving the piece a striking graphic quality.

The lower section features a solid panel with a robust iron handle and a large decorative lock plate with a keyhole.

On the reverse, remnants of the former paper covering remain visible, made from old newspapers. This fragmentary surface adds an extra layer of texture and history, making even the “raw” side highly decorative. At the bottom, the door retains its built-in metal roller wheels.

Today, this is an exceptionally atmospheric interior piece: as a large wall panel behind a sofa, a statement element in an entry hall, a backdrop in a shop or gallery, or freestanding as a sculptural accent for styling and scenography.

Condition: authentically aged, with patina, discoloration, and traces of the original paper, consistent with age and use. See less
