The upper field is built as a crisp grid; the mesh behind it adds an almost industrial texture.

Dimensions: height 185 cm, width 137 cm, depth 6.5 cm.

The lower part is constructed from vertical boards with two rows of dark metal rivets that create a pleasing rhythm across the surface. At the center sits a rectangular metal locking plate. At the very bottom there is an irregular hole in the wood; rather than distracting, it reads as an honest, charming trace of the door’s original use and long life.

The reverse shows the construction in all its simplicity, with horizontal braces and two integrated wooden rollers at the base. Old ink markings remain visible along the side, a small detail that reinforces its authenticity.

Today, this panel works perfectly as a large wall piece behind a sofa or dining table, as a scenography element for shoots and displays, or as a strong backdrop in a shop, gallery, or hospitality interior.

Condition: timeworn, authentic state with patina, wear and discoloration, including irregularities in the wood and mesh and the opening at the bottom; sturdy and decorative, consistent with age and original use. See less
