It is presented in a whitewashed wooden frame enhanced with fine gilding, dating from the same period (1950). It is signed by the artist, Claude Houal, in the lower left corner. The back is cardboard. It is one of a set of four small watercolors by the same artist, depicting Breton scenes and framed in identical frames.
