Antique Persian rug with faded green field and ivory cornices, Keivan Woven Arts / rug SUS-1908-275, country of origin / type: Iran / Malayer, circa 1900.
This traditional Persian Malayer carpet from the early 1900s is characterized by a central field full of vertical aligned botanical motifs. The Faded Green field is framed by four ivory cornices of geometric florals. Colors throughout include a variety of tones, such as cream, ivory, orange, ice blue, and faded green. The piece is surrounded by a multi-tiered border, which frames it beautifully.
