This is a beautiful 1st Generation--1950-1954--Herman Miller Eames Zenith Label Rope Edge Dar Arm Shell Chair in Elephant Hide Grey. It is in excellent condition for its age with only minimal age-related discoloration on the underside. The original Zenith label is present, a mark of its authenticity.
Originally designed as a dining chair (DAR = Dining (D) height, Arm (A) chair, on Rod (R) base, also referred to as Eiffel tower base), it also make a beautiful accent chair for your mid-century decor.
