Painted chest of drawers with a shaped (serpentine) front and three drawers. The drawer fronts are decorated with floral garlands in a still-life manner, each centered with a keyhole. The top has a gently curved front edge and is bordered by a raised rope-like molded edge with gilt-toned highlighting.
The piece is finished in a dark green paint with additional floral decoration at the sides. It stands on four cabriole legs with carved feet and gilt-toned accenting. The reverse shows framed panel construction.
This chest follows the curved silhouette associated with Louis XV revival furniture, combined with painted floral ornament intended for domestic storage.
