This Swedish designer coffee table from the 1960s is a beautiful example. Designed by Folke Ohlsson and produced by the renowned Swedish furniture company Tingströms, the Frisco model is known for its balanced proportions and organic design language. The top is crafted from teak veneer with a refined grain and is framed by subtle raised edges of solid teak. This light edge gives the top a soft, almost floating appearance. The base is made entirely of solid wood and has an organically shaped construction that combines craftsmanship and functionality. A striking detail is the concave arch visible at the top of the base. This line visually continues into the raised edge of the tabletop, creating a calm, cohesive design. It is precisely these kinds of details that make the Frisco table so recognizable within Scandinavian design of the 1960s. We have completely renovated this coffee table in our workshop. Old layers have been carefully removed, the wood has been carefully sanded, and re-treated with high-quality furniture oil. No quick fixes, but a lasting restoration that protects the wood and ensures the table remains beautiful for years to come. This fully reveals the warm tones and natural grain of the teak. Thanks to its generous size and balanced proportions, this table is perfect as a central coffee table in the living room, but also very suitable for a more spacious seating area or studio setting.
