These are 100% original Herman … Read more The iconic DSS side chair designed by Eames and produced in a wonderful vivid green. These are 100% original Herman Miller fiberglass shells all with original rubber mounts in good condition and Hermann Miller embossed branding in the shells. The fiberglass shells are in excellent condition, the chrome bases are in perfect structural condition although please note the chrome has, as expected, deteriorated in some areas as photographed. Any damaged or missing swivel feet have have been replaced with original Vitra swivelling feet as per the original design. Our workshop has inspected the chairs, cleaned and gently buffed the fiberglass and gently cleaned the chrome bases. Exceptionally rare chairs, these came from a community hall in the middle of Wales where they had been stored for over twenty chairs, they were originally supplied to a local hospital and donated to the hall. The DSS denotes – Dining Side Stacking. Often used in public settings the chairs are very practical, they can be stacked 8/10 high and also easily linked to form groupings in rows.
