It measures 15 x 22" while the photograph itself measures 6.75 x 9.75". The print itself has some minor damage resulting in white marks. This uncommon and shows that this piece may have been kept differently than others also obtained from the Chuey Estate of the Neutra House in Hollywood Hills fame.

Regardless this piece is exceptionally emotional. It feels as if it speaks to viewer directly in a strongly emotional way. Almost as though its screaming in whispers because of Josephine's demeanor, her age, and the shrouded nature of the photograph.

This is an opportunity to own a literal piece of history that is important and should not be forgotten. Teske was respected by his contemporaries and their belief in his skill speaks to the validity of his work. Early on he was put on the payroll of Frank Lloyd Wright the famed architect and even spent time living in a place designed and built by Wright while working with him. The Chuey Estate commissioned Teske for many photographs and it is fair to assume over the years they likely developed a friendship though the depth of those relations is unknown. Edmund photographed both Bob (Robert) and Josephine in addition to their daughter. For their trust in him they were rewarded with portraits that will never be replicated which stand as this piece as works of art themselves rather than traditional portraits. See less
