Jesse “Jay” Wright is known for his vibrant abstract paintings and his photography of Northern Michigan’s rivers. Inspired early on by his artist mother, he has explored a range of styles—from geometric compositions to sweeping, gestural works. In recent years, he returned to his drawing roots, creating large-scale black-and-white pieces during the COVID-19 shutdown. His work has been exhibited at Jacksonville University and includes collaborative textile pieces that blend traditional quilting with contemporary design.
