Pair of very rare wall lights designed by Jacques Adnet, from the Nevada line, France, 1950s. These sculptural wall sconces exemplify Adnet's refined post-war language, where rigor and decorative restraint coexist in perfect balance. The composition is defined by a strong architectural structure in lacquered iron, combined with patinated brass elements that frame and suspend the glass with precision. The thick molded glass diffusers are particularly striking: deeply textured, substantial in weight, and marked “Nevada” within the glass itself. They are designed to slot perfectly into the metal structure, creating a refined interplay between transparency, texture, and material density. When lit, the glass diffuses a soft, atmospheric light, emphasizing the relief and depth of the surface. The contrast between the matte black lacquered iron, the warm aged brass, and the heavy glass gives these sconces a strong yet elegant presence — unmistakably modernist, yet deeply decorative. The pair is completely original and retains all original components. For safety and compliance reasons, rewiring is recommended; this service is available upon request. In that case, the lamp holders will also be replaced accordingly, while preserving the original appearance of the fixtures. An exceptionally rare pair, rarely found on the market, and a significant example of Jacques Adnet's lighting production from the 1950s.
