A refined expression of Italian mid-century design, this rare set of eight “Pamplona” chairs by Augusto Savini for Pozzi stands among the most celebrated seating designs of the 1960s. Conceived in 1965, the model is defined by its strong architectural presence, precise proportions, and an exceptional balance between sculptural rigor and everyday comfort. The design is characterized by its solid beechwood structure, whose bold geometry frames the body with clarity and restraint. The chairs have been completely restored by our specialized workshop, with great respect for the original construction and materials. The beechwood frames have been carefully refinished with a refined gloss finish that subtly reveals the natural grain of the wood, allowing its warmth and depth to emerge without masking its character. Seats and backrests have been reupholstered in premium cognac full-grain leather of exceptional quality. Soft to the touch yet highly durable, the leather displays natural grain variations that speak to its authenticity and craftsmanship, developing a beautiful patina over time. The warm tone of the leather creates a striking contrast with the dark lacquered wood, enhancing the sculptural profile of each chair. This set features the version with aluminum backrest connectors, one of the two original variants produced for the Pamplona model. More understated and architectural than the brass alternative, the aluminum plaques emphasize the graphic structure of the design and lend a distinctly modern, refined character. As visible in the photographs, the restoration preserves the original spirit of the chairs while elevating their material presence. The result is a cohesive, elegant ensemble that feels both timeless and contemporary. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
