They are in good condition, despite minor gilding … Read more A pair of Empire three-light gilded bronze candelabra from the 19th century. They are in good condition, despite minor gilding on the sheet metal stem (this surface is subject to the handle and therefore more wear) and the base. The gilding is enhanced by the contrast between the opaque background and the agate-polished reliefs of the decorations, creating greater depth. The candlesticks were not previously electrified and therefore lack the resulting holes. They are Italian-made and date back to the first half of the 19th century. See less
