Nic Albrecht lived in … Read more Large, unique silkscreen print by the Berlin artist Nic Albrecht, "Long Live the Lion," from 1969. Nic Albrecht lived in New York at the time and, like many others, was apparently influenced by Andy Warhol. The image bears a handwritten note from the artist at the bottom: "Dedicated to Mrs. Berger with best wishes, 'Long Live the Lion,' Berlin, November 13, 1971." Signed in brush at the bottom right: "Nic Albrecht 1969." Inscribed in pencil on the back: "Albrecht," and a paper label reads: "Helena Rubinstein, Artist Nic Albrecht, Prinzregentenstr." (his address at the time).
