Françoise Carrasco, born in 1944, studied at the School of Applied Arts in the 17th arrondissement of Paris and began her career in 1971 working with earthenware and stoneware. Between 1982 and 1994, her work was decisively influenced by the raku technique, which was subsequently replaced by engobed terracotta in 1997.
