Just in case you need a couple of medieval warriors to guard the bar...these two are ready for duty...and while they are at it, they'll pop off a couple of bottle tops. So funny...so clever...and oh so useful! Designed by Carl Bent in teak wood with rope arms, shields decorated with metal tacks, fur beards and heavy brass horned bottle openers disguised as helmets. Reminiscent of Kay Bojesen and Hans Bolling designs from the same era. Perfect to liven up a mid 20th century modern decor. Unsigned though a well documented design. I love a good Viking and every home needs one or two.
Good condition with signs of age and use...we'll call it party patina. Both Vikings are from the same household but the gray bearded one looks like he had more use...or maybe he's just the old guy in the crew. They are still adorable...battle scars and all.
The gray bearded Viking measures 6.38" tall x 2.63" wide x 2" deep. The black bearded Viking measures 6.38" tall x 3" wide x 3" deep.
