Exceptional german brilliant cut crystal decanter dating to around 1900, featuring a heavy lead-crystal body and a finely crafted sterling silver (925) collar with a hand-engraved monogram jm / im.
the crystal is richly decorated with deep geometric cutting, diamond fields and multi-faceted star motifs typical of late-19th to early-20th-century luxury glassmaking. The original stopper mirrors the same intricate cutting, forming a perfectly matched set.
the silver neck bears the official german crescent-and-crown hallmark (used after 1888), the 925 purity stamp, and a maker’s mark (fzm / fm), identifying a high-quality workshop producing silver mounts for fine crystal pieces in the early 20th century.
a striking statement object, both sculptural and functional, perfect for a collector of european silver, antique barware, or fine crystal.
