The subject is rendered with soft volumes, a natural posture and a calm expression, characteristic of early twentieth century figurative sculpture in France. The bronze features a warm brown patina with subtle natural variations. Inspired by Juan Clara, it reflects his interest in intimate scenes and childhood, a recurring theme in his Art Nouveau work.
