Elegant silver-plated wine bottle coaster designed by Emilia Castillo in Taxco, Mexico, circa 1985. The round silver plate wine coaster features scalloped and pierced sides, a cork interior and a toucan resting on the side, raised on round bun feet.
Stamped on the underside, “TO-85, Emilia Castillo, Mexico M.R., Plateado, #29”. Emilia is the daughter of Antonio Castillo, co-founder of the famed Los Castillo workshop, she continues her family’s legacy with exceptional craftsmanship and lyrical natural themes.
