Late 20th Century painting on canvas by Colombian artist José del Carmen Hernández (1948-2017) This abstract piece is professionally framed and depicts a human figure with a glass bottle in hand. Features colors of red, yellow, green and blue. Is signed by the artist on both the front and reverse of the canvas.
Bio:
José del Carmen Hernández (1948-2017) was a Colombian artist who is known for his paintings, murals and sculptures. He studied at Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado “La Esmeralda” in Mexico City, Mexico where he devoted time studying the famous Muralist: Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros, Rufino Tamayo and José Clemente Orozco.
Upon his return to Colombia he began to express the violence and harsh realities of his country in his art with public murals and sculptures. He exhibited through the Americas and Europe and studied fresco at the School of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid. In the 1990s he was Colombia's representative in the Ninth Valparaíso Biennial in Chile.

- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).
- On approved returns, the buyer is responsible for the full cost of return packing and shipping.
Cancellations

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.

- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
- You will need tools and/or equipment to open the crate.

- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.
