The mirror is framed in glazed porcelain and decorated with a hand-painted floral motif in blue, green, and white tones. Piggelin is considered one of Westman’s most emblematic designs, combining playful ornamentation with clean Scandinavian forms. The reverse is marked with the Rörstrand stamp, Piggelin model name, and the designer’s initials “MW.”

Marianne Westman (1928–2017) is regarded as one of the most influential figures in 20th-century Swedish ceramic design. After graduating from the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm in 1950, she joined the Rörstrand factory in Lidköping, where she became one of the company’s leading designers from the 1950s through the 1970s. Her work is celebrated for its joyful modernism, bold graphic language, and enduring appeal. Westman’s designs remain represented in major institutional collections, including the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm.

Very good vintage condition, with very minor imperfections consistent with age and careful use. The porcelain is well preserved, the glaze remains vibrant, and no cracks or repairs are observed.
