Otowaya is one of the famous kabuki (Japanese traditional dance and play) families in Japan. This design comes with a repeated pattern of "yoki" (axe), "koto" (Japanese harp, but only a bridge of it is shown here), and "Kiku" chrysanthemum. Put together, "YOKI KOTO KIKU," means, interns of sound, "to hear the good news." Thus, this is popular as a symbol of good luck for the kabuki fans. Although this chiyogami is old washi paper, it still looks nice in our modern life. In wood frame. Excellent condition. 18.5"W. 1"D. 22.5H. See less
