From a single owner family this bed is unmarked but was purchased by the original owner from Hickory Furniture.

From the beautifully carved posts and canopy surround all of the way down to the solid square legs this bed has a great traditional look which gives it a timeless appearance. The bed can easily be set up as either a poster bed with finials on top of the posts or it can be converted into a canopy bed with the same finials by simply adding the canopy in place on top of the bed posts. The expansive mahogany headboard lifts this bed past the level of commonly found mass produced beds while the high quality rail system works to make the bed feel solid when fastened together.

Hickory Chair furniture company has been around since 1911 and their master cabinet makers do an outstanding job of combining finely veneered panels with attractive mahogany solid woods in all of their pieces. The Hickory Canopy Poster Bed will be familiar to anyone that knows quality furniture when they see it. Assembly can be done by two persons in a short period of time. The final photo shows the bed with a valance which will also be included in the purchase price.

Everything on this item is in original, as found, condition.

As with all antique and used pieces of furniture there will be some small signs of wear and tear but overall this item is in good original condition. See less
