This is really a wonderful original. I bought this painting with the intention of gifting it to a friend for his home. Turns out it is too big for his wall and so now I am going to sell it. I wish I had a space for it because it is truly a stunning example of contemporary Florida work. For those not familiar with Frank Sadera, I have included his biography below. Based on the other paintings I have seen by Sadera, I believe this is a view from off the coast of Sanible Island. Wonderful clouds and sailboats dotting the horizon. The lone tree in the right foreground adds a great contrast. Oil on board measuring 20 x 37 inches it is a stunning as painted example of the artist's finest work. Signed and dated lower left. Original linen lined matte shows some minor spotting and small stains. Wood frame is complimentary and ready to hang. Just a beautiful original work. One of the artist's finest works. Frame measures 28 1/2 x 45 3/4 inches.
For those not familiar with the artist his biography from his website reads: " Frank Sadera is a second generation artist. He was born and raised in New York City. Frank credits Leila Delaney Sadera, Shelly Fink and Tom Orlando for helping him to learn a painter's alphabet but encouraging him to write his own story. Frank states that he strives to express a particular point of view in his paintings but many times discovers that the best images seem to have a life of their own. Frank's early career was marked by a first place award for representational painting from the Kent Art Association, where he has also been asked to jury exhibitions. Throughout his career, his work has been shown in galleries and exhibitions along the US east coast. Frank and his wife Brenda moved to Florida in 1987. Frank absorbed the atmosphere of the area, capturing its essence and portraying it in all of his current work. He states: "Painting is pure joy for me. It is what makes me happy." Frank's paintings create their own unique atmosphere, conveying a special feeling along with the visual excellence inherent in each image."
