The first ruler of China, Emperor Qin Shihuang, is presented in this account of one of mankind's most interesting conquerors. Known as the Tiger Emperor, his rule saw great achievements, abolishing the feudal system of land holding, construction of the Great Wall, and the standardization of weights, measures, and calendars which imposed a uniform code of law on all. Includes full color photographs, maps, and paintings throughout. Alphabetical index, list of illustrations and photo credits in back. Bound in black cover boards with embossed gold stamped front and spine.
Dust jacket in excellent condition with Mylar protective cover. Binding and pages are clean and bright with sharp cornered edges to all. Presumed first edition published 1989 by Birch Lane Press. 216 pages total.

The Chairish Buyer Guarantee ensures that you have complete peace of mind when

- Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason, with the exception of some Made-to-Order items, where supplies have been purchased or work begun on the item.

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.

- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
- You will need tools and/or equipment to open the crate.

- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.
- Only available in selected markets.
- Chairish In-Home Delivery
