A monumental French Art Deco buffet sideboard cabinet, crafted in solid wood and richly veneered Brazilian rosewood, featuring raised architectural moulding and striking gilt-bronze relief mounts. The sculptural center panels celebrate three allegorical attributes of female power: woman of worldly knowledge, woman of beauty, and woman of peace—a refined and humanist motif characteristic of French decorative arts of the interwar period.
Designed in the spirit of French Art Deco luxury, the piece reflects the influence and aesthetic vocabulary of Jules Leleu, with its balanced proportions, noble materials, and restrained classical symbolism.
The finely crafted interior is constructed of solid ash and offers exceptional functionality, with two large fixed shelves, four generously sized hand-dovetailed drawers, and mortised solid brass hardware. The cabinet retains its original key, which operates both locks.
