Metlox cookie jars were primarily manufactured from the 1950s through the 1970s, with some production extending into the late 1980s. Produced by Metlox Potteries in Manhattan Beach, California (operating 1927–1989), these, are known for colorful, whimsical designs like bears, frogs, and storybook characters. This particular cookie jar is likely from the 60s or 70s.
Cookie jar is in good condition, some of the paint has rubbed off.
The rocking horse has floral etching on the sides and a red harness.
Cookie jar still has the Metlox sticker on the bottom.
