A substantial & beautifully textured pottery table lamp by Richard Ray Designs, featuring a sculptural clay base with layered rattan detailing & a softly distressed, soft camel finish. When costuming ordering this lamp, I requested that the clay base resemble a basket, & the results were above & beyond. The faceted form & hand-worked surface give the lamp depth & visual interest, making it equally suited as a functional light source & a decorative object.
The lamp is topped with a custom pleated shade in a warm neutral fabric, tailored to complement the architectural lines of the base. The wide footprint & balanced proportions make this piece ideal for use on a console, side table, or as a statement lamp in a living room or bedroom.
