This very piece is a fine example of the exceptional Sultanabad craftsmanship from the dawn of the bygone era. What immediately catches attention is the impressive size of the carpet, perfect for ample spaces or allover interior décors. Its moderate yet impressive main field incorporates a bold and highly decorative floral medallion, complemented by four spandrels, one in each corner.

The field is enclosed within a series of as many as seven opulent borders which perfectly correspond with the much plainer central arrangement. The very last border is also left untouched by a pattern which additionally balances the design. In terms of colors, the antique Persian rug relies on light slate gray in the background, paired with beige, camel, copper, carmine, mocca and dark slate gray present in the pattern.
