Tabriz rugs are perhaps the most famous of all Persian carpets. Due to the fact that this renowned weaving center is one of the oldest in the world, the range of its designs is wide and the workmanship refined. The antique rug before your eyes bears the most classic of all Tabriz designs. Its main field carries a symmetrical botanical trellis featuring classic motifs such as palmettes and Herati. The triple border, kept in the spirit of the main design with flowering climbers and palmettes, encloses and complements the composition.
This abundance of motifs is balanced thanks to a muted, tranquil and abrashed color palette. The combination of beige, green and brown will seamlessly fit into any kind of interior arrangement.
The antique rug was carefully hand-knotted out of wool in accordance with traditional techniques. If properly maintained, this Oriental rug will withstand years of usage without any signs of wear, bringing in the recherché charm of Persian artistry.
