Using a floral motif, popular among Persian carpets, the weaver was able to create an astonishing display of his unparalleled skill. Bouquets and flowery compositions are the main elements of the design. Each petal was woven with great care, resulting in almost life-like image. Triple frame of the pattern sports similar decor, however, instead of cut flowers, the weaver decided to choose wild ones, further enhancing the beauty of his creation. The carpet has a very balanced color palette, which consists of different shades of brown and creamy beige. A magnificent handiwork and priceless piece of history, this antique rug is the paradigm of perfection. See less
