The open navy-blue field provides a dramatic background for a finely articulated floral composition arranged around a delicate central flowering medallion. Graceful flowering branches, palmettes, leaves, and small blossoms extend vertically through the field while leaving generous open space around the design. This restrained composition gives the rug an especially elegant and sophisticated appearance.

The border is particularly rich, consisting of a broad madder-red floral main border filled with finely drawn rosettes, palmettes, and scrolling vines in shades of blue, ivory, soft green, coral, and gold. Multiple narrow guard borders complete the composition and demonstrate the precision and refinement of the weaving.
