: 1950’s Original Large French Metal Shop Signage Letters – Papeterie. We recently salvaged a signage company on the west coast of France and sourced a large batch of amazing original signage letters, rich in colour and condition with years of sun bleached age and character. The letters have been handmade in zinc treated sheet steel and painted as shown. The sign was vertically mounted and comes part attached to the original steel mounting strip. We believe this was used above a newsagents in France as the word spells “Stationery” in French. The letters are hollow on the reverse. This listing is for the word as photographed. Workshop Report: Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
