The lamp features a slender, bottle-shaped ceramic body with a gently tapered neck and rounded lower section. Its surface is finished in a white glaze, meticulously enriched with hand-cut incisions that create fine horizontal striations wrapping the entire form. These incisions add subtle texture and depth, catching the light and emphasizing the lamp’s sculptural silhouette. Around the widest part of the body, ornamental gold bands encircle the lamp, hand-painted with repeating scroll and wave motifs. The gold and white glaze combination lends the piece a sophisticated yet warm presence, characteristic of Italian decorative ceramics from this period. The contrast between the matte, textured white surface and the lustrous gold detailing highlights the artisanal nature of the piece. The lamp retains its original ceramic light socket in white, which complements the body seamlessly. Underneath, it is hand painted with the inscription “626/70 ITALY,” confirming its model number, production year, and origin.
