Technical and Artistic
Period and Production: This piece dates to the second half of the 19th century (circa 1860-1880). The craftsmanship and quality of the inlays suggest its French origins, a hub for the production of luxury furniture during the Second Empire.

Style: It fits perfectly into the Napoleon III style, an eclectic period that opulently revisited the curved, graceful lines of the Louis XV period (Rococo).

Construction and Materials: Crafted from fine fruitwood veneer arranged in a herringbone pattern, the display cabinet features a crescent-shaped silhouette with curved sides. The body is embellished with elegant gilded and chiseled bronze applications that follow the lines of the cabinet, from the shoe-shaped feet to the rich upper cornice with floral motifs.

Maple Inlays: The lower part of the door features a refined maple inlay. The decoration, crafted with extreme technical precision, depicts a classical vase emanating from a triumph of floral garlands. The chromatic contrast between the blond maple and the darker base of the cabinet creates a focal point of great artistic value.

Prestigious Interiors: The back is completely upholstered in a capitonné silk damask fabric, lending a three-dimensional and luminous feel to the objects displayed on the cut glass shelves.
