A pair of column candlesticks made of silver by Thomas Bradbury in 1904, Sheffield. The candlesticks are hallmarked entirely for English silver. They bear the English Lion, the town mark for Sheffield, the maker's mark by Thomas Bradbury & Sons, and the year letter M for 1904. The candlesticks have a classic appearance typical of that period. These column candlesticks have a square, weighted base with an elegant leaf pattern all around. The stem of the candlestick is decorated with garlands. The candlesticks show some signs of wear (dents), and one candlestick has had its corners reinforced. The candlesticks are 15 cm high and the base is 8 cm square. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
